Which Clutch Do You Recommand?

Im ganna be needing a clutch pretty soon.....how are spec clutches, also how much hp can the stage 2 one take..the stage one is good for 400hp and stage 3 can take 680hp. but it doesnt say how much the stage 2 can take..all i know is that it uses kevlar....

WHAT ARE THE BAD *** CLUTCHES THAT CAN TAKE 480+ HP

THAT COST UNDER 550$

check out centerforce mabey. not too much in the market at that price range other than that and SPEC.

with some slave cylinder adjustment, the centerforce is a VERY nice setup

I would do a search. There are many people that have had good luck with their SPEC clutches. On the otherhand I have seen a few of them fall apart. I would honestly not waste my money on Centercrap.

I have a stage one center force in my truck and had good luck with it. Summit Racing sells "Ram" cluches, but I don't know how much HP they will stand, but you might want to look into thoughs as well.

stay AWAY from centerforce

pos centerforce couldnt hold up to my buddies 94 Z when it was stock and the only mods he had were a 125 shot and drag radials. JUNK

I would go with SPEC, dollar for dollar its gonna be your best bet.

Also, I used a McLeod dual friction a couple years back on my 'bird, I was pushing ~400whp and it held to 2 yrs of street/strip driving and several 6000+RPM dumps on ET drags.
