Is this a good clutch, mine went out a while ago, and we had a shop put another one in for us. we never asked what they used, but i found some papers on the work they did, typed in the part number and found this, except its like 200 dollars cheaper on this site, just wonderin if its a good one?!!http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...h.asp&N=400409

If you are refering to this:
http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...h.asp&N=400409
which appears to be the only LT1 clutch shown it is a plain Jane OEM clutch setup. All the pressure plates are the same regardless of maker, they are all Valeos or Chines Valeos. The disks can be different IE: Kevalar, organic etc.

Re: clutch assembly: good or no good???
We have specific fourms for specific topics.... "clutch" questions do not belong on "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech". PLEASE post on the correct forum.
Moving to "Drivetrain".

Re: clutch assembly: good or no good???
I just put a Sachs clutch kit in my 94 Z28 a few weeks ago, and to my surprise, it wasn't a Sachs at all. It was a Valeo pp and clutch disk. All wraped up in a Sachs box. It was identical to the pp and disk that was on it from the factory. Even had the same #'s stamped on them.
