clutch

Hi
i sold my lt1 camaro a little while back, and i was thinking of getting an ls1. my question is, is it as expensive to replace the clutch in the ls1 as it is in the lt1? i've heard of clutches costing as much as $2500 for the lt1's
thanks for any help

holy ****...what kind of clutch are you putting in it? solid titanium?

i installed a SPEC 4 clutch, and fidanza aluminum flywheel, upgraded hydrolics and it totalled about $850

the Street Twin is about the most costly one i've seen, and that is about $1200 but it includes the flywheel

Re: clutch

the clutch which was installed before i bought my car was $1300, and that was a pretty cheap one. i know of another guy who paid over 2k for a centre force clutch
remember these prices are in canadian dollars...

Re: clutch

It would be hard to spend over $2k on a street clutch for an LS1.

$2500 CAD = $2056 USD

Re: clutch

labor should be close to the same, the clutch itself is usally a bit cheaper though.

Re: clutch

my spec 3 and flywheel together were $750ish(think a lil lower but above 700)

i installed it myself.... (would have been near impossible without a lift, but not to bad...

2k on a clutch... wow....(even with labor)
