95 Z28 - 3rd 4L60-E, anybody help?

Hey guys, here's my problem. I own a 1995 Camaro Z28. I've had it a couple years and had nothing but trouble out of it. First of all, 2K miles after I got it, the tranny lost drive and overdrive. Bought a Jasper, it ran fine for 2K miles and started acting up...being sluggish at first..then gradually progressed to a vibration/shuddering during the 1-2 shift under hard acceleration...then the same vibration/shuddering between the 2-3 shift...then finally each gear slipped over 3500 RPM's...then the transmission completely locked up. I was going through a bunch of crap with Jasper about the tranny...they said it had to throw codes before they could do anything about it...Well anyway, I let the car sit for a while...a little over a year, and decided to try to get them to warranty it again. Three weeks ago, they agreed to replace it and I took it to a local tranny shop. They ordered a new tranny and installed a shift kit and external tranny cooler...I got the car back and it ran like I'd never seen it. Well, I'll admit that I've been driving FWD 4 cylinders for a while now, so I was running the Z pretty hard just for the pure excitement of it...I mean, this is the first car I've owned with a shift kit in it, and it was fun to play with. So, just about every time I took off, I would spin the tires and run the car to 5500 RPM's in 1st, to hear the chirp between the 1-2 shift. Sometimes if I was playing around with somebody or getting on the interstate fast, i'd go ahead and run it to 5500 RPM's in 2nd as well to feel the hard 2-3 shift. Then once I got to the speed I planned on staying at, I'd bump it into Overdrive and cruise. Well, I started getting used to the car again and the shift kit wasn't ALL THAT impressive to me anymore, so I started easing it around a lot more. One day I was taking off and didn't want to give a FULL 5500 RPM run, so I ran it to 4K and let it shift there (would bark the tires most of the time at 4K but not ALL the time), but instead of feeling a nice firm shift, I felt a vibration. I was taking off from a gas station that had really small speed bumps in the road in front of it, and I thought that was it. The car shifted fine for the rest of the day. The next day I got in it and ran it up to redline 5500 RPM's and let it shift, but instead of shift, it hit the rev-limiter and didn't go into gear. Anyway, to make a long story short, now it slips between all the gears if I'm accelerating hard. If I accelerate semi-hard, it vibrates/shudders between gears, and easy acceleration, it's fine. Also, there's something else weird. Say I'm going down the interstate at 80 MPH in Drive and let off the gas, the tach will drop to 1K RPM's and idle. If you let off the gas to go into a turn and come back into the gas, you have to wait for the rpm's to catch back up to the torque convertor <---I think???? Something's screwey. I ran it to red-line in 1st gear and let off the gas without shifting to 2nd, and the car dropped to idle...coasted down a hill with the car in 1st and got up to 60 MPH with the engine idling...the tranny made a funny "whining" noise after I got to around 55, so I shifted to prevent any further damages...but also was driving down the road in Drive at 60 and dropped the tranny into 2nd...still idled. The only gear that has "catch" as soon as you put it in is O/D, but I'd say I just haven't had it fast enough in O/D to be able to tell. Now, I never manually downshifted the car to slow down...I did the other transmission, but the guys at the shop said NO that's what happened to the other ones. I did everything they told me...they said: ALWAYS take off in 1st or 2nd if you're gonna get on it; normal "gettin on it situations" take off in 2nd; not getting on it, use drive; shift into O/D at 70-80...no less than 65; drop below 65, downshift to drive; don't downshift to 2nd unless under 45 mph, don't downshift to 1st unless under 25mph. And I did all of this...so.. anyway, if anybody could help me I'd greatly appreciate it. I don't think I can get the tranny warrantied by Jasper again cuz of the shift kit. I'd just like to know what's wrong with my tranny, so when I take it back to the shop they can't b/s me about it. Thanks ahead of time.

Much Appreciated,

Paul
