well it when i got the car whenever i was rolling at a slow speed, relitively stoping... and then i would get on the gas, like when i'd roll through a stop sign and not completely stop... the tranny would clunk as it was switching gears...

so i noticed this and i started to use the shifter and put the car into 3rd if i knew i wasnt going to be using 4th... and after a few months it started doing it in 3rd as well... so then if i really knew i was going to be going slow, i shifted it to 2nd (like cali traffic)... and now it started to clunk there too...

so should i take it to the tranny place?

whats wrong with it?

its only going to get worse.... mine did the same thing when i first got my Z, then a month later my tranny was FRIED.....do yourself a favor and get a rebuild before your only able to drive 40 mph to work...lol

stall converter! theyre not too expensive if ur going to replace the stock one anyways (i think my builder said $100 more for a 2800) and its always good to replace the stall while the trans is out anyways .. i also did gears at the same time. but one thing i woudlve changed is i woudlnt have done the gears.. my posi is in its early signs of fading.. wish id have waited and done the posi and gears at once but i changed gears cause of the 18" wheels to make up for that lol. (did that instead of stall wish ida gone with the stall but it wouldve been wasted seein as ive ditched the auto all together now lmao) oh and before anyone else chimes in and gets the chance.. get it sent off and done by one of the PRO 4l60e builders.. no locals can do it usually =/ u MIGHT get lucky but why take the chance? *shrug*
