Question clunk.... help please

When I take off from a complete stop there is a clunk coming from the drivetrain. It feels like its right under the centre console glove box. It feels like there must be some play somewhere. The U joints are fine and I don't think it's the rear end. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: clunk.... help please

I hope someone responds because I have the same problem with mine. I have two ideas of what it could be, A. Just my rear springs *clunk*ing for some reason and that its normal (hopefully), or possibly the section of my catback that goes over the axle, and that those crappy clamps they give you arent holding the pipes completely together, and that possibly its the pipes making that noise as they move a bit. But I hope someone who knows what they are talking about might know the real reason.

Re: clunk.... help please

Check your transmission mount. The factory one is prone to breaking and will separate making a clunk sound..It also doesn't hurt to check the torque arm mount as well..
