Clicking sound when engaging the clutch...

when i accelerate my car from a stop...i hear a *click*...when i let off the throttle i hear another *click*

i though that it might've been my u-joints but i checked my driveshaft and it seems as if the clicking sound might be coming from the rear area of the tranny

is the driveshaft supposed to have ANY play at all? mine moves maybe half a centimeter or a tad more if i play around with it

all help is appreciated. thanks!

Yea I have the same sound. I think it has something to do with the rear end but I am not 100% sure.
