Thumbs up Choosing a clutch

I think my 99 SS needs a new clutch. Going down the highway in 6th, it felt like one of the rear tires was egg shapped.(I checked and the tires werent low) I noticed the RPMs flaring as well.
Well, there are many clutch options. I dont really want to break the bank though. I was considering an LS6 clutch, for 450 you get everything including a new fly wheel. Only thing that miffed me about that is that it doesnt come with an alignment tool. WTF? How does it not come with an alignment tool? Can I get one from AutoZone? Or should I go with like a Spec stage one and just get my slywheel turned? Its a street car that will see the track about 5 times a year. But I plan on getting 4.10s and maybe running some ET streets when I go because I cant get this car to hook up very well and the track I go to is horrible.

Re: Choosing a clutch

Hmmm..I found an LS7 clutch with LS2 flywheel for $550. So will the LS2 flywheel bolt right up to the LS1? Sorry, been out of the game for a while. When I left for Iraq LS2`s were in thier infancy and no one was sure if anything crossed over.
