Re: cheapest 12-bolt

settle down folks,,you aint putting a 12 bolt or a 9 inch in a camaro for under 900 and expect it to work..period..1,the guy who makes 12 bolts for 900?i wan this number cause ill buy one..wheres he getting an "older"12 bolt that fits a camro?its too wide, has no mounts either,,sure you can find one for say 200,cut it to width for a 100 or 150,then have someone weld all the brackets ,100-200,hope theyre lined up right so your angle ok and dont chew up u joints and over load oinion.then you might bolt in a 12 bolt for 900 but it will be a used 12 bolt, probably not a posi or have the right gear..as far as a 9 inch same thing...cheapest i seen new housings are 560..bare...yiou can try to weld up your brackets but again, alignment very tricky..this aint a leaf spring car...even then you can buy a center section for 200 of ebay but its junk and i wouldnt use it for an anchor w/o a rebuild..an then if you find axles youll need to make them shorter which cost more..and and since its a ford your gm brake s wotn bolt up to the rrear!!!!!!!!!!!!so start looking...bottom line is if your going to upgrade to a new rear and dont want junk.id say bare bones if you hunt and peck everydeal is 1500-1600..thats generous
