cheap 9"

Yes, I am poor. What is the cheapest way to get a 9" in my car? Do I need to purchase a housing and axles and build up my own? Or does anyone offer a bolt in kit like mosers setup? I am asking because I do not want to blow $2300+ on a rear end setup.
Thanks!

Unless you don't plan on having 400+HP, don't waste your money rebuilding the rear. Some might have gotten away with it, but many more haven't. Anyway, don't think of it as blowing money. It's an investment, and will probably outlast your car! Unless you find a used one, don't plan on spending less than $2000.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't too clear. When I said purchase a housings and axles, I meant for building a 9" rear on my own...

A buddy of mine had one built for him for about $1300.

Now granted, that isn't the price that everyone would get on the rear end but it can be done for that if you can find a way to build a jig from the old rearend and then weld you brackets on the new rear.

Where are you from anyhow? Maybe someone can point you in the right direction for a local guy that can help you figure it out.

I am from Detroit, MI area. I would like a bolt together setup, without any welding required. Does strange or any other vendors offer a 9" bolt in setup for less than $2300?
