CFDF problems

Well i finally got the clutch out of my car. i was having a problemo disengaging the clutch. well i pulled the pp and the disk, find its a centerforce dual friction. i lay the pp face up on the bench and lay the clutch on top of it and rotate it and the weights on the pp contact the springs on the sprung hub. that and those studs around the edge of the pp, that are somewhat t shaped are not flush with the cover, im assuming they should be unless the pp is worn out. anyways....
help?

I might have understood your post wrong, but it sounds like when you were checking it you put the spring side facing the pressure plate. Thats how it is on a normal push type clutch, the LT1 is opposite and the sprung side of the disk needs to go towards the flywheel. It the clutch was not disengaging completely, you might want to check the thickness of the flywheel, it may have been turned a bit too much. There is no manual adjustment on the clutch hydraulics, so the only solution I've found is to use a flywheel shim. Hope that helps.

i just put the clutch disc the way it indicated on the disc itself "engine side" and all. the flywheel has never been machined on this vehicle. only 41k miles on a 94. the hub springs contacted the weights on the pp. i dont know. anyways new clutch is on the way, the cfdf was worn down alot so im not going to put a marginal clutch back in. thanks for the input though.
