CAR will not move after tranny install

well i finally got finished with everything added fluid and started the car ran through the gears a couple times.. and was going to take it around the block put the car in reverse drove perfect shifted into drive gave it the gas it kinda moved forward slow a lil
it revved past 1500 rpms barely moving ... is my torque converter bad?... it was working fine before the rebuild (3rd and 4th clutches went out) could this be something to do with the driveshaft? I'm afraid to drive it dont want to mess it up anymore

Start checking as if you never touched the cars. Oil first then shifter linkage, etc., etc.

Its probably not the driveshaft.. Sounds like not enough fluid too me.. how much have you put in? fill the converter up prior to pushing it on? did you push it on all way?

That's normal. You are supposed to have about 3/4" play out of the back of the tranny. That is how you get your driveshaft off the rear. It's normal. Also, if that was the problem....reverse uses the driveshaft also, so....And the driveshaft didn't get shorter from the tranny rebuild.

I agree, not enough fluid. I put a converter in my Nova last night, and it went into reverse as soon as I started it, then wouldn't go forward. Pumped the converter full, and the tranny needed more fluid.

just drove the car it shifts , here is what the car feels like in drive
its like i put 4500 stall in my car without the torque benfits , the car pulls good top end , but like the torque converter has no power no torque at all i got the tires to break loose a lil at like 3500 rpms.... before it would roast the tires jus barely getting on it... but reverse has as alot of torque? what do you all think my problem is ? thanks

When my transmission was rebuilt 1 seal was broken on the install and it made it act similiarly to what you are describing.

a Seal inside the transmission?, How did u fix this?

Does anyone think My u joint would cause this problem one of the end caps fell off i replaced it with another one, would a driveshaft not lined up in the rear end or something to do with the Ujoint cause this?

Dropped the tranny and took it back to the guy to have him fix it. You're u-joints wouldn't cause it. Something sounds wrong with the tranny.

Fuse#11

and another thing my car keeps blowing a fuse under the hood fuse #11 ..... i found that this controls fuse #11 supplies the solenoids associated with the A4... TCC lockup, 1-2 shift, 2-3 shift, 3-2 shift.

So this would cause my problem right?
