Can't shift into reverse

Is there a lockout or something that would keep me from being able to shift into reverse on my 94 M6 TA? If so what is it and where is it?

Thanks,

Yes, There is a reverse lockout solenoid on your transmission. It's located on the drivers side of the transmission near the shifter housing on the rear housing. Try unplugging it first...if that fixes the problem you can choose to replace it or not. If it doesn't work, remove it and see if things move freely...

You are supposed to be able to override it. It's just a ball and spring. Push harder!

Which fuse is it? I didn't see any fuse that was labeled like reverse lockout.

Thanks again.

Your Owner's Manual will tell you what is on each fuse, since there are often multiple devices. In a 94, its #6 in the underhood box.

That was it!!! Thanks Injuneer

Funny story about the fuse box under the hood. The cap that has the layout of the fuses was apparently from another year of f-body. I looked it up in my Chiltons and most of them were different from the cap.

You saved me a lot of time and money!
Thanks,
Kevin

Changed the fuse. Drove the car once and the fuse blew. What else could casue the fuse to blow? Injuneer where can i find what else works off that fuse? I hope it isn't going to be to hard to track down.

Thanks,

As I already said, your Owner's Manual (page 231) tells you exactly what is on each fuse. If you don't have an Owner's Manual, get the online copy via Shoebox's website:
