Cannot speed shift 1st to 2nd without grinding.

Any advice? I cannot speed shift like i used to from 1st to 2nd gear with out a grinding noise. When I shift slowly its fine. Ever since I had a new clutch put in It has gotten worse. I took it back after spending 1400 on a new Spec 2 clutch and rear transmission bearing replacement and told them I could not speed shift like I used to from 1st to 2nd gear. They said it would get better as I drove the car. Well I put over 6k on the clutch in 2 years and its not any better. I can speed shift with all other gears and it great.

Its out of their warranty now, like they would have fixed it anyways. LOL
I just want it to shift like it did with the OEM clutch before the repalcement.
The OEM clutch lasted 126K !

Any ideas, is it a adjustment that can be made? With the new power from the headers it would be nice to be able to get it in second gear without waiting second or two to get it in gear, plus the grinding noise. I want to take it to the track to see what she will do, but not when its doing this. I would lose a second or two on the 1st to 2nd shift.

Aftermarket stuff isn't always to OEM specs and if it isn't disengaging the clutch all the way, that will make it hard to upshift in the lower gears under load. I'm assuming the inside of your trans is OK because it was working before the clutch install, but you may have worn parts in there not helping matters. Some guys have modified the clutch throwout or slave position or gotten adjustable parts to help with differences in clutch thickness, etc.

Yes it was working fine until the clutch change. I mean it shifted like butter.
Its disappointing when you spend that kind of money and its not what its suppose to be. They told me it will get better as the clutch wears a little.
Wrong. Its hase got worse.

I was hoping there might be a adjustment I could make, I sure others have has similar problems with there M6 tranny. I have even thought about going with a different shifter, but I beleive its in the clutch set up.

Do a search on the stuff I mentioned and see if any of that makes sense to you.
