my rear end is making a howling noise i have checked my gears and changed all my bearings. i dont know what is making the noise? thought maybe lsd?

 

The LSD does not come into play when moving straight ahead and I don't think it would howl, anyway. Depending on when it howls, it is probably the ring/pinion.

 

Have you tried changing the fluid? Mine quieted down substantially with a fluid change...

 

My money would be on your ring and pinion. I've seen that a ton of times over the years with different cars, including mine. If they get shimmed wrong and wear badly, there is no way to quiet them without replacing them and having them shimmed correctly. If a previous set of gears blew up badly, snd some metal got into the LSD, then maybe it might have problems, but normally the gears give up first.
