Can I save my tranny?

I have been going to the track every friday for the past 3 weeks, and the last time I went I noticed my A4 tranny was shifting very slow on the 2-3 shift. It would rev up right to when it should shift then it would hit the rev limiter and then shift. It seems like it might be slipping or something causing the engine to keep revving? The next time I ran, it did it again, but even worse. I have the shift improvement mod done to my camaro, but I rarely use it. I turned it on for the next time down the track and it seemed to help a little bit but its still there. I'm running about 3 tenths slower than I normally do. Its my daily driver and as long as I dont floor it it shift real hard and I have no other problems at all with it. Anybody have any ideas on the cause of this? Thanks -Jeff

Re: Can I save my tranny?

You probably need an oil change on that tranny and fast.. i would check the condition of the oil and hope that its not dirty....

if not.. you would need a good clutch pack for the tranny and "rebuild" it.

If the oil is clean.. CHANGE it.. if its dirty, you could change it, but it will probably get worse...
