Built LT1 new clutch going out already?

Hi guys, i just built my new 355 last year, has a new zoom clutch kit on it which blows *** compared to my LT4 i had on before. Anyways, i was out having fun on the first warm day of the year, on back roads and such, i was really making that engine wind out. I burned all through 1st (love that rear end hop thought my car broke in half) and 2nd, once i hit 3rd it was going fine until i hit 5000 rpms, it started slipping so i let off. It was a very hot day and i did a lot of street driving, start stops, etc. The clutch and engine have about 3000 miles on them, the T56 engages every gear fine, just when i got back home it was a lot less grabby in 1st, no noises, no burnt smell either. Is it possible that it may be ok as long as i let it cool down and not go absolutely crazy with it again

That torque is addicting
