Broken rear, how do I get the cross pin out?!

My 3.73 10-bolt decided to give up the ghost on me. The clutches in the eaton posi more or less disintegrated, and the cross pin retaining bolt has sheared. The bolt head and threads have unscrewed, but the remainder of the pin is stuck in the hole. It has to be sheared off, however - The cross pin will spin with the spider gears but it won't come out. I beat on it with a punch and a mini sledge until I couldn't lift my arm any more but that cross pin will *not* budge. I know the diff is most likely trash, but the housing and the axles (aftermarket) are good. Any ideas on how I can get it out?
