Camaro 4l60e into a truck?

Camaro 4l60e into a truck?
Both 1994 models....wondering if the tranny out of the camaro will work in the truck? Everything LOOKS identical with the exception of the torque arm mount provisions on the car, but the chevrolet parts guy said it wouldn't...they've been wrong lots before....will there be any shift problems? If it wouldn't work, what would enable it to work? Thanks.
