Break in procedure?

Ok I got 4.10s, I was just wondering what the proper break in procedure is on new gears. Also my car has 178,000 miles, since the rear end is going to be apart should I have the shop rebuild it? If its smart I will do it, but if it will be ok without it I would like to know.

Thanks,
Tom

Re: Break in procedure?

That posi unit might be a little on the worn side. I'd have the shop inspect everything and make sure its still working and ask their opinion on the condition. Might be time to change some stuff out.
