What clutch setup do you run? Is there a cheaper alternative than the mcleod route? I've been running a th400 but miss banging the gears . What are you doing to the t56 to make it hold up. I'll be launching it hard on the gas. Also what drive shaft? Thanks for the input in advance.

You may want to do a search and look for the names Taner, Lonnie Pavtis and Sean94Z. I know all of those guys were running high HP numbers with 6 speeds. I believe Lonnie Went 10.6 at 133Mph with his 6 speed and Taner was all the way in the 9s. Sean94Z was approximately ~650RWHP and I think he is now running a Th400. I am sure there are more folks but I cant think of thier names now.

Hope that helps somewhat,
Claude

Thanks Claude, It looks as tho Taner (mid 9's ) is running the street twin & Sean947 is/was running the star spec stage 3 ceramic with good luck. I couldn't find much on Lonnie. I found one post were Jordon Musser was talking about the street twin wearing the input shaft.....anyone else know about this?Other than that, it seems like it's well worth the money.

I made over 700 rwhp and am using a McLeod Street Twin w Steel Flywheel. Do it right the first time and get a McLeod Street Twin. Are you going to sell your TH400? I am running a Spohn driveshaft with my setup. However there are many great options such as Denny's driveshafts, Dynatech, Mark Williams and Spohn.

Here is some info on Lonnie's car:

Looks like he was running the McLeod dual disc clutch.

Thx,
Claude

IDOXLR8, I'll probably keep the th400 for now.

Thanks,

McLeod has new hubs on their street twin clutch discs that do not wear the input shaft like they used to.

I by no mean's have 650hp but will tell you that a Spec Stage III will not handle the power as reliably as a Twin would.. Not saying it CAN'T hold it.. Just not that reliable about it.. I had 3 totatlly come apart.. Till i finally got the twin and been happy since..
