Best way to disable converter lock up???
Just installed my Yank UT4800 and now need to disable the transmission lock up before I can drive the car. Not to sound half-a$$, but would cliping the tan/black stripe wire from the PCM do the trick?
Thanks in advance.

SAR, connected to the brake pedal under the dash is two switches. One for the brake lights and the other to disable the converter lock-up. When you apply the brakes the switch releases the lock-up. If you unplug this switch the converter will remain unlocked, INDEPENDANT of PCM control. Therefore, you will not set any codes. I would have a hard time explaining what the switch looks like, trial & error, it is the one that doesn't disable your brake lights.

When I am on the highway and I designed the cruise with the brake, the car RPMs will increase and the car will surge forward for a bit. It must be the converter unlocking right before the brake lights come on (and cruise shuts off).
Worked out great. There are two switches. One switch has a single two wire connection and the other switch has two connections plugged into it. You want the latter switch. Of the two connections on has two wires and the other has four wires. Unplug the four wire connection and the TCC is disabled.
