Best rear end for 95 z28
What would be the best bang for your buck when it comes to a rear end for a 95 z28. I currently have the stock 7.5 10 bolt rear end with 4:10 ring and pinion. I am looking at just purchasing a whole new rear end that will bolt right up with out having to do modifications such as new drive shaft exc... is this possible.. also where would I go to price one out and get one... thanks, Oh yeah the car has 315/35/r17's on the back on I believe 10.5 wide rims.. thanks,

If you have a extra $2500 you don't know what to with you can get one to fit your car. Moser, Strange and Ford 9" are about it and expect a few additional costs. So unless you are a hardcore racer forget about a new rear and live with what you have.

I'll tell you and I'm sure more people will chime in on it too that the 4.10s in the 7.5 have a high probability of breakage although I'm sure you might already know that. As stated above, a new rear will be in the neighborhood of $2000-$2500 but its really the only option unless you can fab your own rear. TByrne usually has sales on Strange rears and I know Thunder, CMS and a few other sponsors sell 12-bolt and/or 9" rears. Talk to those guys to get an idea of what you'll be paying. I already broke my pinion seal driving on the highway 2 years ago. Sometimes you dont have to do anything to break an F-body 10-bolt.
