Best LT1 Clutch?

What's the best clutch for a mildly modified 94 Z28? (intake, cat back)

I drive the thing like a grandma most of the time, so I don't need anything hardcore, maybe something just a step up from stock. The car will see headers in the future, but that's probably it.

Spec 2 vs Spec 1? Stage 2 is about a hundred bucks more, with that you get more life? same feel? more capacity?

Call spec and ask, or check out their website. If you're considering something in that range, then get a RAM clutch. I've heard much better things about RAM than I have about spec. That's what most everyone here upgrades to. Either the RAM HD or HDX. Anything requiring more is running a twin disc clutch.

avoid spec. seems you read about more people having problems that you do of people having goo luck. get a mcleod twin or single disc depending on your setup

I've noticed that too... lots of people seem to run spec though. But yeah, I've read about problems. I haven't looked much into Mcleod or RAM. I'll have to see what I can dig up...any suggestions where to go?

ive got just bolt ons and im running a spec stage 3. i had a stage 4 but it was rediculous. only problems ive had was going uphill in reverse. i dont know if its suppose to do what its doin or not. it vibrateds the hell out of the peddle and makes a nasty noise. i dont know if its slippin or something or what. i put it in a few years ago myself along with a billet steel flywheel.

its hard to tell sometimes if im spinnin my tires or slipping a bit. cars too loud to tell. but it hasnt given me any problems other than that. and its good up to 680 hp and torque.

I'd stay away from spec as well.. I like LT4 pressure plate ( all stock replacements are the LT4 design ) and Mcloed Single disk clutch.

McLeod Street Twin... drove mine everyday. Made 430whp and 415wtq and you could go up hills in the rain on a cold day with Drag Radials without spinning the tires. I loved it

Street Twin, if you can afford it. Stock replacement would be fine though for your combo.
