hello i have a V6 with MAJOR UPGRADES on the way, see my site in my sig,

after a search i really couldn't find what i was looking for

my goal is 500 RWHP and i want to up grade my 10 bolt for it

should i go with eaton posi or auburn?? or the "heavy duty" zextel?

i dont have the money for a 9" or a 12 bolt ( i know these should be my choice)

what will give me the most with out exploding?

i will see the track 1 maybe or 2 times a year, and a few dynos here and there. only drive hard on the street to kill the ricers
will a 8.5 fit in my rear??? would that do anything for me?
thank you
what do you think of my car Viper Yellow?

v8= my V6=

There are a few other things you can do to beef up the 10 bolt. I used a rear support cover with preload studs, a bearing cap stud kit, and use a solid pinion spacer. You would probably want to go with the strongest posi you can get which I believe is the heavy duty Zextel. These things will buy you some time with the 10 bolt but if you are going to be making that much HP it would still be a gamble. It would probably last for a while with regular street tires but if you make some hard launches at the track or on the street with some good sticky tires it probably won't hold long. It sounds like you have spent a lot of $$$ on your engine and the rest of the car, If I were you spend a little more on a good rear like a 12bolt to hold all that power your expecting.

On a side note, I'm just curious, are you an American serving in Iraq or are you from Irag? I assume you are an American based on your grammer. Either way, good luck with the car, sounds like a pretty cool setup.

By the time you put al sorts of $ into the 10 bolt (especaly if you have to pay for labor), you might as well spend a few hunderd more and get a 12 bolt or a 9".

If your spending that much money on the engine, you might as well get the drivetrain right too.. Wouldn't want to see the rear blow out and cause you to wreck your car, tranny, and/or engine.
