Beefed up 10 bolt?

Alright i have Zexel Heavy Duty Diff, 3.73 Motives that i am going to be having installed. What i was wondering was if there was anything else i need to tell them i want installed, like solid pinion spacer, new wheel bearings, etc.

So what should i tell them to do exactly? Are those a good idea^

thanks guys

Yes those are a good idea. Any other options you have to replace or upgrade is going to be beneficial. Also get a good quality dif. cover to help give you a little strength. That's about the most you can do. Is this going to be behind an A4 or M6? A4 you should be fine for quite awhile. M6 and there's almost nothing you can do besides upgrade to 12 bolt.

It's an A4 my other diff took a dump, and i really hate one wheel spinning not to mention it is making the brakes wear uneven----and ceramic pads aren't cheap. I don't think i am going to get a cover---just thing i will loose teeth off the ring gear, before the hosing strength plays a part. So anything else in particular worth upgrading?

The diff cover is a good idea, cheap insurance. I have one on mine with 3.73s with an auto and I think it has helped keep it alive.

Re: Beefed up 10 bolt?

I'm assuming your going to install all new carrier and pinion bearings. Axle bearings are a good idea depending on mileage. You may also find that your axles have worn grooves where the bearings ride. They make an offset bearing just for this problem or you could upgrade to Mosers or Superiors axles "while you are in there." Also with the new cover order a bearing stud kit to replace the carrier bolts. Much better clamping force. The bottom line is that if you hook up hard with the 10 bolt you'll be buying a 12 bolt or a 9". I use BFG DRs and they spin just enough to keep my 10 bolt alive...Good luck.
