3000 stall or more?

I just ordered a TCI 700-R with reverse manual valve bodies and a 3000 stall but im wondering if i should have went alittle higher. The car is my only car but when im in school it only really gets used on weekends. Is the 3000 a good choice or should i send it back for alittle more?

You'll be happy with the 3000. If you get too big it really doesn't help any performance, takes you right out of your powerband. I went with a 3200(not installed yet) because i plan on doing head and cam soon.....so peak hp will arrive at a higher rpm.

basically a 3000 is the perfect combo for a LT1 IMHO. that's right about where she starts really putting out some power.

I think you will be very happy with that combo.
I have a 2800 TCI stall in my 94 and have been very happy with it.

ok sweet thanks alot guys, i just didnt want to install it just to find out i needed alittle more. i am looking to put in a cam within the next year but it would just be the hotcam so this stall would still keep me where i need to be in the power band right?
