bad vibration at higher speeds
I have a really bad vibration at anout 80mph. I have a moser 12 bolt, new transmition, spohn torque arm, and a brand new driveshaft. I have checked the DS angle and changed it from -2 to 0 degreese and it is still just as bad. Any help would be great.

What's your rear suspension? Could require a trip to the alignment shop..
Hows the slop of the DS yoke in the transmission? The output bushing maybe shot and in need of replacement of the tranny.
Also what "new" DS are you running?

Re: bad vibration at higher speeds
i have the same problem, its because of the pinion angle, i didnt not have much time to mess with it much though. Is your TQ arm mounted to the crossbrace or standard TA mount?
ps. my vibration isnt big at all, and since my TQ arm is mounted to the crossbrace, that might be part of my problem, but playing with pinion angle should deffinitly help

Re: bad vibration at higher speeds
I fixed it I put a nickle in the part where you bolt the rear u-joint in so it compressed it more and used 4 hose clamps to balance it out and no problems so far. the drive shaft is a custom 3inch steal DS from the driveshaft shop downtown called republic disel. I probley need a new pinion yoke but I dont have the money right know

Re: bad vibration at higher speeds
I had a conversion u-joint but it didn't fit it right I needed a 3-1/4in u-joint and the bigest they had was a 3-1\8in conversion u-joint so I got that and it keep vibrating so I had a new driveshaft made with the right sized u-joint in it but by that time the pinion yoke was wore because of the constant vibrating. so it ended up being about a nickel to small so I sliped it in beside the outside of the u-joint so it would be snug and the off balance of the DS I used 4 3" hose clamps to rebalance it out so there was no vibrations.
