Bad throwout bearing? Ram clutch kit?

On my 95 6-speed, a noise can be heard when it is put into gear (1 or 2 were the only ones tried. ) with the clutch pushed to the floor, and sounded like sandpaper rubbing very loudly. It did this sometimes on a slow takeoff, but now I can just be cruising at 10 or 20 ( never tried faster, too scared to) and will put into gear, with the clutch pushed to the floor, and it'll do it.

Is this a bad throwout bearing? My car is in my shop now, with a ram clutch kit being installed, the 88516 heavy duty one supposed to hold up to 400 horse? How good is this clutch kit?

Thanks guys! Sorry for the crap post, just really tired
