Axle Option

Hello all its been a few years since Ive been here, I sold my 97 Z-28 a while ago but back in the market for a 99 and up Z-28 or SS. I know on the A4 Z-28 there was an option for the performance axle. How important is that to get is it a noticeble difference. Im trying to find an M6 but there hard to come by, so I might settle for another A4. Any input on the axle appreciated.

Re: Axle Option

All else equal, go for the shorter gear (the 3.23:1 "performance axle"). But if you find a nice car without it, go for it. A gear swap is not that big a deal if you can't live with the 2.73's.
