Auto to manual swap

Hey guys
I'm new on this site and I am about to start on a major project. I just bought a '68 Camaro, straight body , no rust and a junk 350/350 combo that has been stripped of all its goodies and is not even close to running. I want to switch the car from the 350 trans to a M-21 or 22 manual. I have the pedal kit from Rick's First Gen , Bellhousing, fork and other components and the floor pan piece that needs to be welded in. The car was orginally a column shifted auto b/c there is no hole in the floor for the 350's shifter. Any advice or explanations regarding this swaps difficulty or pitfalls would be appreciated
