I need opinions on the SLP pressure plate with the mcleod disk

My SLP clutch is starting to slip now. I'm thinking of just replacing the disk with the mcleod disk and having the pressure plate and flywheel resourfaced. Has anyone had any success doing this, or should I buy the mcleod pressure plate too (another $300+) I'm not sure why my clutch decided to start slipping either, it was fine when i was driving on dr's, and now i'm on street tires and it just started slipping all the sudden (powershifted into 4th and the rpm's never dropped below 6200 in 4th, they just hung there). The clutch only has ~5K on it at most, so I don't think the pressure plate is bad... And what kind of power is the mcleod clutch good for?

Do your research on that McCleod disk. I know someone who had springs break, with VERY little or no racing on it.
