which ATF?? syn or dino??

From the search that I did Dino oil seems to be the best for my 4L60E any last bit's of advise b4 I change the oil??
my buddy's 01 TA started slipping with Royal purple syn ATF so I didn't buy it and was wondering what would be the best and how many quarts??

I use the B&M synthetic,I hadnt had any problems, it has abot 12000 miles with it in.
