An appology for delays from CPT

There are a few of you on here that have been wondering about longer delays getting some stuff back from us. I'd like to appologise to anyone who's been waiting longer than we had promised.
Most know that we're a small shop who takes pride in quality control. My shop only employs several people. Unfortunately, one of my guys has been out for the past 2 weeks. When you're a small shop, one person makes a big difference.
To add to the fray, I've been blind sided with way more parts issues than ever. I wish my suppliers could get some of these orders right. I've been trying for 2 weeks to get a case for a 4L60E. They send a broken case, and then a 700R4 case. Getting the wrong parts in an order is another unexpected set-back.
I've been working late in the shop to try to stay on top of things. As some of you may know, I don't have the phone in the shop with me very often. I don't like the constant distraction of trying to deal with it, and concentrating on building. Yes, on occassion, I get messages and it's too late to return calls. I've also been guilty of letting it slip my mind to return a few.
My main goal is to get these things right. I have a pretty good reputation to uphold, so I don't want to rush through anything just to get it out the door. As a customer, would you rather wait an extra week, or risk putting it in and it not working?

Nick, Jeff, Scott, Andrew, Tim, and Nathan you're transmissions are all in the works, in one stage or another.

Rich, your transmission will ship tomorrow.

Robert, I FINALLY got your converter in, and you'll ship shortly.

I hope you guys understand.

Thanks,
Frank

Glad to hear this Frank. When I researched about a 700 I didn't find one bad thing about you or your products. That is why I chose you. I know sometime when a small company gets known they can get swamped quick. I do alot of performance side work and get backed up with parts delays also. But I always try to keep everyone informed at least weekly on status or delays. That's why I tried to get some info at least once a week.

Hope you get everything caught up, you have a great product. I do recomend you to anyone that asks about my tranny, and still will.

Same goes for me Frank. Its just a little aggravating watching the summer and race season fly by when your car is up on jack stands. I don't mind waiting a little longer for a quality product, afterall thats why I sent it to you. But call or email would have been nice.

Well you have the stones to come on here and explain what's going on. One of the several reasons you'll be getting my business in the next month or two

Transmission update?

Frank,
It's been a couple of weeks since we last spoke. Do you have a status update for me? Did your supplier finally get you a usable case?

Thanks
Jeff

Frank,
Are you going to be able to send me a tracking number soon? I may try to arange a pickup at my DHL location so the local driver doesn't drop and break it again!

Thanks
Jeff

I'm Nathan's brother. Nathan isn't a member of this board however, he has not recieved the tranny back yet that had a crack in the case. He's awaiting a call from Frank I do believe on if Frank's welder can fix the case properly. Nathan is also heading out for training in two weeks for his deployment to Iraq thus he probably isn't too concerned about it. I'll probably take over on handling his tranny issue and installing it for him when it comes in.

As Frank said he is busy so I wouldn't get too impatient. I've got a few questions pending Frank as well but will not bother him anymore until he gets a chance to answer them.

Your brother case is with the welder. Yes. It is able to be fixed. All the water/antifreeze contamonation took a huge toll on the frictions. It took all the material off the 2-4 band, which destroyed the reverse housing. I'll take the $135 loss to replace the housing since I've had the transmission for as long as I have.

Thanks for the update Frank.

As far as my set up goes I'll put it on the lift with the car on and test the power circuit from the pcm to see if I'm getting power to the tranny.
