Im just curious as to what the advantages are for these. Do you control the gears shifting? Do they make one that covers all the gears (1-4 Overdrive)? How do these things work? Thanks

 

Yes there are guys that have put one in.
They don,t make one specifically for the 4th gens though, so you have to buy a universal and make it fit.
Rachet type shifters such as the B&M megashifter and Hammer and Hurst makes one as well will work on the A4s but as I said you will have to make it fit, its not a plug and play deal at all.

I am putting a quarterstick or prostick in my 94 but I am also swapping to a three speed tranny.

 

I'm using a quicksilver in my 94, but I've got 700R4 not a 4L60E

from what I hear you have to have something attached that tells the pcm what gear your in, as the 94+ are electric controlled trannys.

 

Hows that quicksilver workin for ya? Mounting problems? Console fit Ok?
I prefer a positive detent shifter (the quicksilver is a rachet type isn,t it) but the quicksilvers look pretty cool.
