Anyone make a transbrake for 4l60e?

As the title states does anyone make a transbrake for the 4l60e and are there any adverse affects of putting one in a street/strip car?

Carl Rossler. They're not proven, and from what I understand, they keep breaking parts.

You could only buy one used anyway... to get a new one you will need to buy a trans along with it or they wont sell it to you.

I buy them new and install them in my transmissions. I'm not sure if the used only info is correct. I have now installed 4 of them new and so far so good. IDK I guess we will have to see what happens. One of which is a 4200lb truck that is shooting for some kind of record with a 4l60e. I did use a billet input and a billet output shaft to help eliminate any breakage. We did advise against this build but I guess the wallet was bigger than mind. The unit was over 5K with a converter. SICK

What parts are breaking, is it tranny parts or other driveline parts because my car has a Dana S60 rear and chromemoly driveshaft?

a brake is really hard shock to all the "hard parts" inside the trans.......like he said hardened shafts etc.

It gets very expensive and when its all said and done what do you have a 4l60 with a brake in it.......that probly won't last very long. Its one of those polishing a turd situations

Th400 w/ brake - otherwise you're limited to 1 company setting the price on a part because nobody else is willing to develop one.

I'm so glad I got out of the F-body/LT1 realms - lack of support from vendors, overpricing of parts, lack of vendors period and ultimately if you want to go fast - you're limited on the weak tranny and rearend.

Want a brake? TH400

Want to launch hard? 9 inch or 12 bolt $$$$$

Almost can't win.
