Is it just not long enough or won't it slide in? If it won't slide in disconnect it from the axle(or get the tires in the air) and keep rotating it until it will finally slip in. I had that problem and that's all I needed to do.

Yeah keep turning it and see if it'll slide in. Is it a 3rd gen driveshaft and a 4th gen tranny? All 82-02 ds's are supposed to be interchangable but maybe yours just won't for some reason. Again the problem I had was just like yours, I kept turning then trying, turning then trying. Eventually it went in. It might be possible the ds is supposed to go into the tailshaft gear a certain way and your just not lined up right.
