Adjusting Shift Lever On 700R4??? HELP please!
This is actually my first post here and I'm desperately looking for some help. Okay, I got on the phone with the company that built my 700r4 transmission. I was having issues regarding a B&M Shifter + 700R4 setup (http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/004924.html), and I think I've got it figured out. Much appreciation to Nastyz28.com member, "wiseryder" for his help on that. Anyways, the issue was related to my transmission lever (where the shifter cable connects to the transmission) being so difficult to shift (extremely difficult out of park, and pretty hard to ratchet in and out of any other gears)... this is while it's not running (being as I've yet to start the new motor and run it with the new transmission), it's even difficult to move the lever with my hand, let alone the shifter. This is how I came to the conclusion it definitely wasn't the cable, being as it's not binded up in anyway and shifts great when it's not hooked up to the transmission (obviously). Anyways, the company told me in order to adjust the lever, I need to pull the pan and the lever should be right there. I wasn't 100% able to understand how to adjust it or in this case... loosen it up, so I was hoping someone on here might have done this before. If anybody can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Otherwise I'll have to call them back, and I'd rather have it somewhere that I can print it out and follow some destructions,
. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help.
