adjustable master cylinder engagement question

I have the lt4 pp mcleod disc (7500 rpm shift disc) and new spec steel flywheel. I had a post on here talking about how it is engaging near the floor. I have researched and I need to bleed the system, get a new hyd system from GM or get the adj master cyl (or make one)

I tried to bleed it some tonight but didnt have much time to. I got a chance to put the mityvac pump on it once but I am still having the same problem.

My question with the adj master cyl is this. If it can change where your clutch engages at. WIll it effect where it is fully engaged? Like doenst the slave cyl only have so much it can travel? If you adjust where it enages then wont it possibly effect it when it is fully engaged? I am worried that with an adj master cyl I may get it to engage near the top like it used to but then it wont fully engage once the pedal is all the way up? Or does the adj master cyl effect the height of the clutch pedal as well?

I Hope this makes sense

Thanks

Jason

Re: adjustable master cylinder engagement question

The adjustable master does effect the height of the pedal. This is the basic function of the adjustable master. It raises/lowers the pedal so you can change where the release point is. I assume you can have it too far up, but if you're releasing close to the floor now, there is no way the adjustable master is going to move the release point too far.

At least this was my case, after doing my A4-M6 conversion (SPEC stage II clutch), my release point was VERY low, like "hard to put the car in gear" low. I put in an adjustable master, and screwed it out all the way to the top. Its release point is still low compared to most other cars.
