? about Motive Gears

Ok im about to buy a eaton truetrac unit and am looking for a decent gear to go with it. Ive heard that auburn is the only way to go, but i have also heard some good things about motive. The thing is is motive is a good bit cheaper and im a firm believer that u get what u pay for but u sometimes also pay for the name to.

Motive is said to be an excellent gear and I believe gm uses them to make there gears in some cases if im not mistaken. the major reason people go wit motive is because they operate more quietly than the others.

I can tell you from experience that they are quit i had them in my SS and went to 4.10's motive gears. With just exhaust and intake i broke my motive gears twice meaning the 4.10's wasnt putting down much power and it was with the stock tires that came from the factory with 3.42's shouldnt be a problem, i broke mines shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Then again other people will tell you they never had any issues like that so mine could be just bad luck.

I run Yukon 4.10's and punish the hell out of them. Never had a problem plus they have Lifetime Warranty.
