Ok, so im drivin on the highway today and put the pedal to the floor while in 4th(a4). Car doesnt downshift, rpms fly up and it backfires. Would that be the selonoid? Just wouldnt down shift.

hmm. That is an interesting problem. My tranny weireded out on me about 2 months back. I was going down the expressway and when i got on the throttle it acted really funny and I could tell it was slipping bad. I had broken a band in the tranny. As for your problem, I'm not sure what it would be. It might be the OD servo or one of the solenoids, that would be my guess, but i'm not sure man. Sorry i cant be of anymore help. Good luck.
