A4 shifter question ...

I am going to replace the stock A4 shifter in my '94 Formula with a B&M Pro Stick and remove the factory console completely. Looking at the OEM set-up I see wires (everywhere) and need to find the neutral safety and reverse lights. There is a group of seven wires that runs to a small "box" behind the shifter that I'm guessing has what I want. I know the B&M shifter will require two of those for the neutral safety switch. To pass state inspection I may use the ones (two I'm assuming) for the reverse lights and just put them on a hidden toggle switch to keep the inspector happy. Does anyone happen to know which one(s) are for the neutral safety switch and which one(s) are for the reverse lights? I plan to use my handy-dandy tester if I can't find the answer but thought someone may have "been there - done that". Thanks!

The top of this will tell you where the wires go.

The square box directly behind the shifter is for the airbag system. The wires you want are in the connector that plugs into the shifter itself. It is the long rectangular connector with six wires.
