It started today. First the grinding sound was only in first gear.
After a mile grinding got a lot worse and spread to all gears.
Shifts normal. It is coming from where transmission is. Souns horrible.

I am also having this problem. Sounds like either the tranny or the rear end. Anyone else had this problem? Had to have my car towed home today. Any suggestions?

Well my dad pulled the tranny tonight. Found metal in it. We just got through rebuilding it in September. No symptoms leading up to it. I never get on it or treat it rough.

Anyone know where to get a decent used or rebuilt tranny for pretty cheap?

 

What do you consider "Pretty Cheap". My rebuilds are pretty reasonably priced. The BEST prices you'll find for the quality and parts we use.
