Its not a practical swap and would require changes in the electronics and mods to the valve body along with a custom built what amount to a bastard expensive converter

The reason being is the '98 is an LS1 and the '94 is an LT1. The '98-up use a 2 piece case with a deeper bellhousing, different input shaft, and taller converter. Your '94 even differs from other 1 piece case 4L60E's in the fact that it's non PWM. Your valve body has one less solenoid than '95-'97. The VB, plate, electronics, and pump are different.
To sum it up...The only thing that will work in your '94 is a '94 transmission...Or one out of a '93 truck, if you change the tailhousing.

A '93 T/A has a 4L60 (700R4). That's why I specified 1993 truck.

So just get one from a 93 truck and it will bolt straight in with no changes?

When I buy the 93 trans from a truck what are the steps I need to take to put it in?

Yes a 93 truck will be a 60e a 93 trans am will be a 700r4 "4l60" but i think you said on phone you have already put a 700r4 in the car and were just looking for something to attend a car show right up the road from you house this weekend so in your case since its just temporary you could really do either since you already are set up for both.

Yes the computer does not shift the 93 but as I said If i remember our phone conversation you said ou had a 700r4 in it and all 700r4 shift only by the TV cable so you should already have everything to hook that up on there already ?
