95 trans into a 94, how to get lockup?

I have a friend that swapped a 95 4L60E into a 94 Z28. He no longer has lockup. Can the solenoid just be switched to fix this issue? I did a search and found that the 95 is a PWM lockup and the 94 is not. I assume that this affects the way the solenoid operates??? Can someone please explain this and let me know what needs to be done to make the converter lock. THanks

Bill

you can re-flash the pcm with a 95 auto file and i think there i 1 wire that needs to be swapped or added to the trans connector,
