95 T56 disengaging problem - Oil soaked clutch?
I picked up a '95 Z from a buddy who was having problems w/ the clutch.
He installed a 6 puck clutch, worked great. Car Leaks oil, can't tell where from yet - it's everywhere
Slowly the clutch wasn't disengaging correctly, he thought it was a bad Slave - replaced it. Then he thought it might have air in it.
I took it out, stood it on its end (hose up) and pushed it all the way in, no bubbles came out of the master....
I'm stumped.
Anyone had a clutch soak up oil and swell up? I don't think it's that bad, I don't have puddles in my driveway, but the engine and trans are wet from oil.
I'm going to try and shim the slave on the fork w/ a washer or a nut, just to see if I can get it to disengage....
It just barely doesn't disengage, it's sooo close!
Any ideas? what should the fork feel like for loseness when the slave is out?
