My 95 LT1 is popping out of reverse and back into neutral when backing up. It has not done this before today and everything else seems to be working just fine. Any suggestions or ideas what it might be?

 

today it was worked fine when I put it in reverse, but I would put the car in first and then in reverse (recommendation from someone when doing research on the problem last night). Would it be a shifting fork problem, or shifting pin issue that be causing this? Im hoping its not a rebuild type of issue. Some help please
