95 Grinding Noises

Ok I have two different grinding noises. The first is when I am sitting still and I put the car in nuetral and let the clutch out. I hear a grinding noise coming from below the car. Does the drive shaft spin in nuetral? Thats what it sounds like to me but what would cause this? The other one is when I turn a corner going slow. The rear end grinds usually and is pretty loud. The car only has 36k on it and a lady owned it before me. Are these normal noises or what? Thanks for the help guys.

Re: 95 Grinding Noises

The grinding noise in neutral is likely the heavy cast iron shift fork rattling away which is anoying but harmless. The grinding when turning could be the posi binding and "popping" Try changing the gear lube and put in additive and see if that helps. If not you are only out twenty bucks at most.
