I just got my car back from the tuner today..here is the problem..I have a 94 lt1 pcm that was for a 6 spd car,I paid them 100.00 to down load the files so the trans would shift,the tuner installed a 94 trans file and I have a 95 transmission with PWM,(pulse widith modutaltion)..He says he could not get the converter to lock up..I said that because the file you downloaded needs to be a 95 file..he says that will not matter..My question is this,should I take the car back to them and insist that a 95 file be installed?I have a feeling that I am going to have a problem when I take it back.

 

Yes, you need a 95 file. You also need another wire to the trans for the PWM solenoid, if you have a 94 harness.

 

I ran the extra wire,the guy that tuned it told me it wont matter weither its a 94 or 95..The car only dynoed 347rwhp and 307tq...my mods are block is .020 over,stock cnc ported stock heads that flow 270 intake and 198 exhaust,comp cam,242 intake and 252 exhaust@.050,155 ls,1.6 rrs,fully ported edelbrock intake,58 mm tb,42lb injectors,pacesetter lts,borla exhaust,4000 stall 4l60e,full MSD ignition,3.73 gears,Walbro 255,...how much horse power did I lose due to the converter not locking up?

 

Anyone else???I am getting ready to take the car back to them..
