9" moser

A guy I work with has a couple of 9" ford center sections and said I can have them. My question is will it bolt right up to a 9" Moser. Thanks.

They should. I don't think the center section is modified for the F-body conversion. It would also depend on what spline axles the spider gears would take. That is if the center sections came with internals.

they would also need to have the same size bearings.

Thanks! I not too worried about the splines or bearings as I am having it machined to accept 33 spline axles and will be buying new bearings. My main concern is the screw pattern and physically the same shape, size, etc...

ANY ford 9" centersection will bolt to a moser 9" f body drop in rear end. The big question is will the aftermarket axles fit through the small ford bearings. Also, is it really worth it to try and make a stock ford 9" centersection work? They used crappy pinion bearings and the physical case can't hold the pinion very well of the stock ford centersections.

Can't I just get Hi performance bearings for it and the center section is free so what isn't worth it?

spending as much as you will be on the housing etc to have a stock ford center section. The housing is where the weakness is, not the bearings.

Well it will definitley be stronger then a 10 bolt. The free center section will have to do for now.
